Saturday, December 9th The Charlotte Folk Society invites you to jam with special guests, Leigh and Gilbert Nelson, who tell us, “Some think you need to get good to play with others, but wise are those who know you need to play with others to get good.” Gilbert and Leigh will host a free bluegrass jam workshop starting at 3:00. Following our brief annual meeting, Gilbert and Leigh will lead us in a Holiday Sing-Along & Jam, with all your favorite tunes of the season. Steve Houser will be also be telling holiday stories.
The Charlotte Folk Society is running a raffle this year - you could win a Krutz Series 250 Violin (with case and bow) valued at $1,000. Tickets are just $5 each (or 6 for $25). Tickets can be purchased either online here or at one of our monthly gatherings throughout the year. Drawing will be held at our Holiday Dinner and Gathering. You do not need to be present to win.
