The Charlotte Folk Society deeply appreciates donations above your basic membership as they are essential to continue to meet our mission. All CFS events, including monthly Gatherings in the Great Aunt Stella Center, are supported by memberships, grant funds, and donations.

Volunteer

If you have an hour to spare or would like to join an ongoing team project, we have opportunities for you!

Lending Library: The library is becoming a popular destination and would like to add another person to the team. A musician who enjoys jam-ming is knowledgeable about instruments and an opportunity to chat with folks interested in learning about folk music would be perfect. On-the-job training is possible. Please contact John at John.tutwiler@gmail.com

The CIRCLE Newsletter: We need to get the word out! Several folks are needed to lend assistance with layout (MS Publisher software) working with the CFS president and board, contacting folks to write articles, folding, stamping & mailing newsletters. Contact editor@folksociety.org.

FOLK NOTES Constant Contact emails: Assist with preparing content or managing the constant contact email system.

Volunteer Committee: We could use additional team members to assist with making the CFS a great volunteer option for everyone.

Membership Committee: We need additional team members to help organize our efforts.

Program: Layout and print program for Gatherings.

Board Members: CFS Board members are proposed by the nominating committee for consideration by the full membership at the annual Holiday Potluck each December. If you are interested in being considered for board service, please send an email to president@folksociety.org.

The goal is for many hands to make the work lighter and to pair new volunteers with experienced volunteers to share the presentation of the many fine CFS events. Many thanks, and please contact Leah at barnetteleah@gmail.com.
